Bodega Valdesil began in 2001 as a project to recover all the old plots, “pezas”, that once belonged to the family. El Valle del Sil has been a safehaven for the native Godello grape, producing fresh but aromatic white wines with body and character and with great ageing-potential.

Pezas da Portela is an incredible Godello and shows the power and elegance of this grape variety. The grapes come from 50-70yr old vines scattered over 11 different plots. The wine is full bodied with caramelised ripe fruit, floral aromas and also a freshness and minerality that gives great balance.  Give this 20 minutes to “breathe” before drinking.
