The region of Alicante has produced wine for 7,000 years, with archaeologists discovering evidence of ancient Roman amphora in the area. Bodegas Volver was founded in 2004 by Rafael Canizares, a fourth generation vine grower who wished to rediscover, celebrate and preserve heritage varieties of Spanish wines and recover old indigenous vineyards. 

This fully ripe red is a rich wine and big on flavour. Fine and generous tannins help carry the rather high alcohol and give the wine a silky finish, both soft and prevalent at the same time. With notes of spice, liquorice, plum and dark berries, this wine is perfect for both bold pairings as well as subtle.
