Did you know that Nahikun means ‘Greatly desired’? Well that is the goal of this wine! This rioja is full of freshness and minerality, with grapes picked from 5 small vineyards, each with grey limestone and at 500 metres above sea level. A delicate spring meadow comes to mind when drinking this, with aromas of cinnamon, clove, green tea and more!  

 

Sierra de Toloño wines come from vines grown on calcareous clay are at 650m in Labastida – one of the highest vineyards of the Rioja region. The mountains of the Sierra de Toloño protect the vines from northerly winds and create a special microclimate, cold because it is so high, but dry with the Mediterranean influence. These conditions are perfect for the grapes to ripen fully over a long period of time. The ripeness comes slowly, retaining natural acidity.
