Bodegas Alvear use mostly old vine Tempranillo grapes (95%) and a little Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is aged in American oak barrels for 9 months. The tannins are rich and well integrated giving the wine great structure and a long finish. Aromas of fennel, spice and minerals blend beautifully with the richness of the wine.
