Hacienda Lopez de Haro produce a range of different wines showing various expressions of Rioja. The “Classica” range is a selection of aged wines that are only produced in good years and where the wine has the potential for ageing.

The grapes for this aged rosado (the current vintage is 2009 and is the first vintage released) are grown on the high slopes of the north facing Alto Najerilla. The grapes undergo slow maceration at low temperature over 24 hours and are then fermented in steel barrels before being moved to oak for 4 years. 

A soft salmon pink colour with an intensity that is tinged with copper. The wine is extremely complex with a mix of floral, bitter citrus, menthol, aromatic vanilla & hay notes. An exceptional rose with a long persistent finish and silky smoothness.
