Bodegas Matsu, itself a Japanese word meaning “to wait”, specialises in sustainable and environmentally-friendly methods of small-scale wine production. The brain child of Jose Miguel and Raul Acha Arambarri, this up and coming winery is one to watch out for.

The El Pícaro (the”imp”) is a deep cherry colour with violet edges. It has an intense aroma of dark fruits such as blackberries and blueberries, as well as a light minerality and vanilla notes which create freshness and complexity. In the mouth the wine is full-bodied and tasty, with a very good finish.
