An incredible wine from Bodegas Cuatro Rayas. Using grapes from pre-Phylloxera vines (over 100 yrs old), harvesting by hand and using minimum intervention they have created an award winning wine and one that has been chosen to be entered into the newly created category of “Great Rueda Wines”.

The wine sits on its lees in new French oak barrels, with frequent batonnage for 8 months which gives the wine great body and depth and a complex and persistent finish. Beautiful tropical notes sit in the background and the freshness we associate with Verdejo is still there. A superb wine to pair with a range of foods from lightly spiced curries to delicate fish dishes.
